Sleipner Finland is a global supplier of transport solutions enabling the most efficient use of mining equipment. Our products have already been delivered to 58 countries.

“Our customers have told us that they need these innovative products because of the efficiencies that they deliver for mining operations”

– Jim Thompson, VP of Sales – Mining, Brandt, Canada

“The field where I use the Sleipner has been very impressed due to the many different things we are able to move with it”
– Mark Gravino, Head Operator at BMA (Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance), one of the largest coal pits in Australia, mining round 9.5 million tonnes of coal per year.

“With our new representation agreement, we want to show our customers that they can rely on us in every aspect of their quarry and mining operations, regardless of the machines they use “
– Andrzej Tokarczyk, Deputy Sales Director, Komatsu Poland

“The Sleipner E Series dollies improve the utilisation rate of our excavators by allowing us to move the equipment to where it is needed. When using Sleipner dollies to move excavators, we save around 2 hours moving time, which means roughly 200 US dollars cost savings for us each time.”

NEW: Compact Sleipner DB45 offroad trailer

At the start of 2024, Sleipner introduced an offroad trailer for transporting mining machines and other heavy machinery. The new lowbed trailer mounts to versatile articulated dump trucks and can travel across even the toughest terrain at mines, quarries and earthmoving sites. The innovative solution enables the trailer to be connected easily to the ADT and disconnected again, improving the productivity of the ADT and making the trailer a versatile tool for increasing production efficiency. The compact DB45 is designed for moving surface drills and bulldozers weighing up to 45 tonnes.

“We have presented our new lowbed trailer to dealers and retailers around the world, and it has attracted great interest. The customer base and potential are significantly larger than with our previous products. This product has been long and eagerly awaited. The DB45 lowbed trailer can access places where heavy machinery could not previously be transported. The experiences of the first users have been really positive,” says Teijo Höylä, CTO at Sleipner.

NEW: Fully electric and automated lowbed trailer for mines

In late spring 2024, Sleipner Finland unveiled a new generation of fully electric and automated lowbed trailers for moving mining and construction equipment. The world premiere of the new emission-free lowbed trailer took place today at the international Electric Mining 2024 event for mining professionals in Perth, Australia. The first deliveries are planned for 2026.

The new automated and emission-free electric loader is aimed at mines that already use automated equipment, such as drills, and therefore have the infrastructure to support automated solutions. Several patents are pending for Sleipner’s innovative machine transport solution.

More efficient production in even the most challenging conditions

Tested in both freezing northern climates and the extreme southern heat, Sleipner products are famous for their reliability in all conditions.

Their structural and component solutions highlight a long service life, low life cycle costs, global availability and easy maintenance. It is indicative that Sleipner’s first prototype for a dolly designed to transport a 90-tonne excavator was built back in 1996 by Ossi Kortesalmi – an excavator operator himself at the time – and remains in active use to this day.

“From a customer perspective, the increase in productivity, reduction in undercarriage maintenance costs and quicker relocations are the main benefits. Equipment can now be moved efficiently from the bottom of the pit to the workshop and onwards to the next position. What used to be a time-consuming process to get from one site of the operation to the other is safely sped up. Customers see a significant reduction in the overall running costs of their equipment and a significant decrease in CO₂ emissions,” says Conrad Caldwell, Sales Director EMEA at Sleipner Finland.
